The Igaware email server uses
Internet Standard Protocols including POP3, IMAP and SMTP.
The Mail Server is highly functional
and includes the following options:
- Local Mailboxes
Each user can be given their own inbox and email address e.g. fred.bloggs@mycompany.com
- Multiple Internet Accounts/Domains
Email can be handled for multiple domains. Mail can be downloaded from
ISP hosted POP3 and IMAP accounts and received via SMTP. Incoming mail
can be distributed as follows:
- send to individual user
mail boxes using multi-drop,depending upon the recipient name.
- send to a single user
mail box
- forward to an SMTP server
- Aliases
Aliases can be setup e.g. enquires@ to receive mail and forward to single
or multiple mail boxes.
- Postmaster
A user can be designated as the postmaster to receive notifications
such as bounced mail etc.
- Archive
You can choose to automatically archive ALL incoming and outgoing email
into a single mail box
- Security Filtering
Incoming, outbound and local email can be filtered for viruses,
spam and dangerous
content including phishing attempts.
- Blocking List
Email from specified domains or email addresses can be blocked.
- SMTP Relay
Email from specified domains can be relayed from the LAN and remote
IPSec VPN connections. Authenticated users can relay from anywhere.
- SMTP Forward
Incoming email can be forwarded to another Mail Server on your network.
- Outgoing Signature
You can specify a text or html trailer to be added to outgoing mail
of specified domains.
The Igaware mail server has inbuilt security protecting
it against known threats including Denial of Service attacks and Mail
Bombing.
