Igaware believe in proactive
monitoring and resolution. Every Igaware Server Appliance undertakes hundreds
of continuous health checks including:
- Service Monitoring
All enabled services are monitored and automatically restart should
they be interrupted. E.g. If an IPSec VPN connection is broken due to
Internet routing problems the VPN service will automatically restart
once the ISP problem has been resolved.
- Hardware Monitoring
Hardware resources including hard disk drives and memory are monitored
for errors and capacity. email alerts identify resources with errors
or reaching their limits e.g. Hard disk space running out.
- AV Testing
The Anti-Virus engine is sent a test virus every 5 minutes to ensure
that the engine is operational.
Administrators can access a system
status console within the administration
system and configure system alerts and health check reports to be
sent to them via email. Reports include:
- Backup Status
Was the data backup successful.
- Internet Connection
Alerts you if your Internet connection goes off.
- Network Monitoring
Alerts if devices on your LAN are unavailable.
