Firewall

The Firewall is a stateful firewall using the latest generation of firewall architectures, dynamic packet filtering, or stateful inspection and deep packet inspection.

The default security policy blocks all inbound connections (from the Internet to the LAN), and all outbound access. Unless a machine is listed in "individual computers" and given a "access policy", it is not allowed any Internet access. The desired effect is that LAN users can access Internet resources according to company policy, while malicious hackers on the Internet cannot access the internal LAN resources.

There are advanced options available including Port Forwarding and Port Input.

The Igaware Firewall automatically creates policies according to which services you choose to enable. For example, if you enable IPSec VPN, IKE Port 500 is automatically opened. This makes the Igaware firewall very easy to configure.
