Windows 2000 Workstation Configuration

Configuring the TCP/IP Network Protocol with DHCP

This document assumes the the TCP/IP protocol is installed.

DHCP is the recommended setting for your Igaware Server Appliance. You can select it by accessing the Igaware Administration Interface, Administration/Servers/DHCP. Ensure DHCP is enabled.

If you are not using your Igaware Server Appliance as a DHCP server click here. DHCP is the recommended setting for your Igaware Server Appliance. You can select it by accessing the Igaware Administration Interface - Administration/Servers/DHCP, ensure DHCP is enabled.

  1. From the Start menu, select Settings, choose Network and Dial-Up Connections.

  2. Right-click on Local Area Connection and select Properties.

  3. Select TCP/IP and click Properties.

  4. Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain an IP address automatically



  5. Click OK to close the TCP/IP Properties window.

  6. Click OK to close the Local Area Connection window.

  7. Restart your computer.
