Windows 2000 Workstation Configuration
Roaming User Profiles
Using Roaming User Profiles enables users
to work at more than one computer in your organisation. When users
log-on they will be able to access their own desktop and email preferences.
This option will only work correctly between workstations
using the same Windows Operating system, i.e. Windows 95/98/XP/2000.
To enable this option you will need to access
the Igaware administration interface:
Administration/Servers/File Server/General
Enable the Domain Controller and ensure
a Workgroup has been entered. This workgroup name is also
the domain you then logon to.
Follow these steps to configure:
1. Right click with your mouse over the My Computer
icon on your desktop.
2. From the drop down list of options select properties.
3. Select the Network Properties tab and click
on Network ID.

4. The Network Identification Wizard will appear.
Click on Next.

5. Ensure the first option is selected and click
on next.

6. Ensure the first option is selected and click
on next.

7. Click on next.

8. Enter the user name root and the Password
for Domain Admin' ( User: root): (as set by your system administrator
on the Igaware Server Appliance under Administration/Servers/File Server/General.
Enter the LAN workgroup name for the Domain. Click on Next.

9. Enter the LAN workgroup name for the Domain.
Click on Next.

10. Enter root, Password for Domain Admin' ( User:
root) and LAN workgroup name for the Domain. Click on OK.

11. Select Do not add a user at this time, Click
on Next.

12. Restart your desktop machine and when your
logon, select to logon to your domain/workgroup. Done :)
