This document assumes the the TCP/IP protocol is installed.
Note: If you are using your Igaware Server Appliance as a DHCP server click here.
Open the Windows 2000 Networking control panel by clicking the button. Select Settings, then select Network and Dial-up Connections. Double-click the icon in the resulting Network and Dial-up Connections window.
Click on the button.
Select the component.
Select the button beside
Type in your IP address. If you do not have one, contact the system administrator. Type in the subnet mask. Usually this is 255.255.255.0 but if you are unsure, contact the system administrator. Type in your Default Gateway. (The IP Address of the Igaware Server Appliance) If you do not know your gateway address, contact the system administrator.
Select the button beside .
Type in the IP Address of the Igaware Server Appliance in the box labelled Preferred DNS server. (this will be the same as the default gateway address)
Click on the tab.
Enter the IP Address of the Igaware Server Appliance.
Click the button again to return to the Local Area Connection properties.
